Our Family Photoshoot With Lauren Pretorius Photography

A while ago I attended the Cape Town Mom Blog Meet-up (Zayaan wrote a great post about it here) and won a family photoshoot with Lauren Pretorius Photography – I was so excited, I never ever win anything! I was also excited to finally meet Lauren as we have had a couple of exchanges through my blog.

Altough I am known to take the odd selfie here and there, I am actually terribly camera shy. I just never feel comfortable and I never know what to do. My kids on the other hand are amazing – they are so gorgeous, and I am sure that if you follow my Instagram account you would have noticed that I am kind of obsessed with them. Anyway, I was not going to pass up the opportunity to have a professional photographer take some gorgeous photo’s of them.

As you also know by now, I am very OCD – and this day did not start out too great for me. Nothing went according to plan, my hair was dirty and we were almost 20 minutes late for the shoot! Thank goodness Lauren has a very calm and easy personality, she really put me at ease and she was so sweet. She was so patient with my little ones, she really is great with kids. The shoot took place at Wynberg Park just before sunset…
