Make-up Tutorial For Tired And Busy Moms Header ImageIf you follow my Instagram account, you would have seen that some of my fellow mamas asked me for a make-up tutorial. I am a full time working mom with a toddler and a 4-month old baby – I do not have time to spend hours in front of the mirror doing my make-up! I also hate waking up early, so the more time I can save – the better.

I do however believe that you should always try look your best, because when you look good – you feel good and it has an impact on your confidence. This is the easiest, quickest make-up look. It takes me 10 minutes or less to do in the morning and it looks like you spent hours perfecting it! I am no make-up artist, these tips are in no way professional – just easy little tricks that work for me. Continue reading

This Week’s Nails… Coral Ombre With Catrice Ultra Stay And Essence Ombre Nail Art {Review}

coral Ombre Nail Tutorial nail art end result catrice essenceHow absolutely stunning is this?

I used the Catrice Ultra Stay Gel & Shine Base Coat. followed by the Catrice Ultimate Nail Lacquer in A Gallon Of Melon (most beautiful nail colour for the season!). After the nail colour dried, I applied the Essence Nail Art Pastel Ombre Top Coat – this product is unbelievable! Every coat makes the nail colour a shade lighter, creating the perfect ombre look. I am obsessed! I finished the look off with the Ultra Stay Gel & Shine Top Coat from Catrice… and viola!

Catrice Ultra Stay Gel & Shine Base Coat and Ultra Stay Gel & Shine Top Coat works so well – it gives your nails the ultimate gel look and strength without all the fuss. I also like that it dries relatively quick, I absolutely cannot stand nail polished that take forever to dry. My nails feel pretty damn chip resistant… a definite must have. The Catrice Ultimate Nail Lacquer in A Gallon Of Melon is the colour to have this season and is going to be a huge trend going late into Spring 2016 – see I know this because I work in Fashion 😉 – You can buy your Catrice products at any Dis-Chem store or visit their Facebook page for more details. Like Catrice SA on Facebook

Essence Nail Art Pastel Ombre Top Coat is extremely easy to apply and so much fun. You are in complete control when it comes to the varience of the colours – I love ombre, so I will probably be doing this with every single pastel colour in my nail polish collection! Like Essence SA on Facebook

Naturals Beauty Product Review Caffeine and Fairydust - The Essential Collection

Naturals Beauty sent me some products to try out a while ago and I just had to tell you guys about them!

Their skincare range ticks all my boxes – cruelty-free, natural, gentle and affordable! I have been using these products for a couple of weeks and my skin is looking amazing, I have added them to my daily skincare routine and have fallen in love. Our skin absorbs up to 70% of the products we apply to it every single day, and seeing that your skin is your body’s largest organ – that is quite terrifying. I feel it is so important to use natural products wherever possible – and this amazing range just proves once again that it does not necessarily have to cost you more. Continue reading

{Beauty Review} The Victorian Garden Apricot And Walnut Facial Polish

A while ago I received a little tester of The Victorian Garden Apricot And Walnut Facial Polish with my Faithful-to-Nature order (aren’t they just the best?) and fell in love… well, I fell in love again – it is no secret that The Victorian Garden Shampoo’s and Conditioners already have my heart…

The Victorian Garden Beauty Review Caffeine And Fairydust - The Victorian Garden Apricot And Walnut Facial Polish

I ordered my own little pot the very next day and it has become my new must-have skincare essential. It is gentle on the skin, but very effective and smells amazing. I love that it does not dry your skin out like many other facial exfoliators, instead it leaves your skin feeling moisturized, soft, clean, smooth and absolutely glowing. It has a fine texture, which to me is the best as I feel like it has better exfoliation properties and does not feel like I am damaging my skin.

At R85.00 this product is not only extremely affordable, but works better than most of the well-known, expensive products I have been using over the years. You can buy it online at Faithful-to-Nature or The Victorian Garden.

Change Is As Good As A Holiday… My New Hair Style, Some Tips On How To Care For It And The Latest Fashion Hair Colour Trends For 2015

If there is one thing I really love, it’s getting my hair done.

My hair has changed more than I can keep track of… I’ve had platinum blonde hair, long hair, short hair, purple hair, violet hair, green hair, red hair, black hair, pink hair, ginger hair, ombre hair, bronde hair, a mohawk, you name it…

It is such a fun way of reinventing yourself. I asked Mel from Hair Mobile to come over to my home and do something fun with my hair… yeah you read right, she comes to you. It works great for me as I have a little baby and it is such a mission to organize a babysitter and pack his stuff.

We decided on trying something new – Blue/Tealish and brown ombre… I love it! I just cannot take a photo that properly represents how awesome the colours are! Anyway, you are just going to have to take my word for it. This is how it turned out…
