I am a full time working mom with a toddler and a 4-month old baby – I do not have time to spend hours in front of the mirror doing my make-up! I also hate waking up early, so the more time I can save – the better.

I do however believe that you should always try look your best, because when you look good – you feel good and it has an impact on your confidence. This is the easiest, quickest make-up look. It takes me 10 minutes or less to do in the morning and it looks like you spent hours perfecting it! Naturals Beauty Product Review Caffeine and Fairydust - The Essential Collection

Naturals Beauty sent me some products to try out a while ago and I just had to tell you guys about them!

I have been using these products for a couple of weeks and my skin is looking amazing, I have added them to my daily skincare routine and have fallen in love. Beauty Tip: How To Fix Broken Eyeshadow

So I found this amazing tip on Pinterest on how to fix your broken eyeshadow. It is so ridiculously simple…

All you have to do is pour a few teaspoons of surgical spirits / alcahol (Isopropyl Alcohol) over the cracked make-up. Stir and break up the chunks until all the makeup is dissolved. Set out on a flat surface overnight. The alcohol dries up and you’re left with perfect and fresh makeup! Why have I not known this my whole life?? THIS IS AMAZING!

Animal Testing – Does The Cost To The Animal Justify The Research? Make An Informed Decision.

The next time you are applying your make-up or washing your baby’s hair, take a moment to consider whether or not you can do so with a clear conscience. I have never understood the need for companies to test on animals, and I never will. I think it takes a very evil kind of person to subject these little creatures to the kind of pain and torture they endure. I know that we are all busy, and change is not always easy, but are you comfortable with the fact that the animals being used in these tests suffer and ultimately die, all in order to ensure that we can improve our appearances? Are humans morally more important than all animals? Is there a sliding scale with humans at the top and the simplest animals at the bottom? Or are humans and animals morally equal?

“Right now, millions of mice, rats, rabbits, primates, cats, dogs, and other animals are locked inside cold, barren cages in laboratories across the country. They languish in pain, ache with loneliness, and long to roam free and use their minds. Instead, all they can do is sit and wait in fear of the next terrifying and painful procedure that will be performed on them.” – PETA

I have done extensive research over the past couple of weeks in order to provide everyone reading this article with the correct information, and to compile a list of companies that do and companies that do not test on animals. My list focuses on beauty brands, baby and kids brands and household products.

Mikayla Rose and Her “Furry Legs”… 3 Going On 13

How do we teach our little girls to love their bodies?

Good question, I have no idea.

For those of you who do not know, I am a very proud mommy of 3 (and a half) year old Mikayla Rose. She is funny, smart, witty and very confident… so I was completely taken aback by what happened the other day.

I often look at Mikayla while she is sleeping or watching a TV program, I’ll look at her pink cheeks and her little nose, her pouty lips and long legs, her small little fingers, her long eyelashes and think – I made those with my body. Every piece of her; I’m like a sorceress or some sort of magical fairy goddess. I remember thinking that I would be crushed if she ever hated one bit of herself.

One of the hardest parts of being a working mom is having to leave in the morning before Mikayla wakes up to get ready for school. To make things a little bit easier for my husband, I would lay out her outfit for the day the night before… It’s safer for all of us that way. When I got home, however, Mikayla was not wearing the outfit I picked for her.. Let’s just say it was very clear that Daddy dressed her.

When I asked Cole about it , I was told that Mikayla refused to wear the adorable Next denim shorts I got her, because she did not want the kids at school to see her “furry legs”. Wait…what??? Continue reading
