{Review} NooNoo Pie Tie… Snug And Free, The Natural And Flexible Baby Carrier For Babywearing {GIVEAWAY CLOSED}

There is no better feeling in the world than holding your little baby in your arms – my favourite part of the day is lying on the couch with my little Knox sleeping against my chest, taking in his scent (nothing in the world smells better than a baby!) and kissing his perfect little head.

Having a busy toddler makes having these special moments rather difficult. There is just so much to do  – I’m sure all moms can agree. With the NooNoo Pie Tie you can still have baba close to you even when you are busy. Knox was a month premature and spent a week in NICU due to having some breathing difficulties. We were not allowed to touch him at all and I got to hold him for the first time when he was about a week old. Needless to say, once I finally did hold him I never wanted to let go. The lovely ladies at NooNoo Pie sent me a wrap to try out and it arrived the day after we finally brought Knox home. It must have been extremely stressful for him to all of a sudden be in such a drastically different environment than the NICU with all its beeping machines and he was crying quite a lot – that wrap worked wonders. As you can see in the photo, I got the wrap horribly wrong the first time around! Luckily, through NooNoo Pie’s amazing hands-on approach, they guided me in the right direction…

It instantly calmed him (and myself) to be so close to me – it also gave me the freedom to move around and do my thing without having to put him down. This also really helped with the bonding experience – you can read about my difficulties bonding and not bonding my first born here. What I also love about using the wrap is that if you happen to dose off lying on the couch or sitting in your rocking chair, baba is securely attached to you so they will not roll off. I know that sounds hectic, but sleep deprivation is no joke.

Shannon  from http://babywearing.co.za/ had the following to say about her experience with the NooNoo Pie Tie:

“My NooNooPie was a lifesaver! Leo was a very cuddly baby from the start and always wanted to be held, which I really didn’t mind, it’s just that I found it really hard to eat properly, or do anything really while I held him and my body was taking a lot of strain. A friend gave me the NooNooPie as a gift and by that stage I had basically given up on a few of the other baby carriers / slings I had tried, so I was pleasantly surprised when I realized how easy it really was to use. It’s a simple long piece of fabric, which can look a little overwhelming to begin with, but the instructional leaflet that came with the NooNooPie explained perfectly how to tie it and I had it waxed within a day. Leo absolutely loved it, and still does. He’s 8kg’s now and I’m still using it when he has a bad teething day or he is struggling to go down in the evenings. Before my NooNooPie I was so scared to venture out of the house with him for fear of him screaming in public, but I even managed to visit the extremely loud BabyExpo at the CTICC, with Barney the Dinosaur blaring in the background, Leo slept peacefully through it all, while most other Mom’s were trying to navigate their way through the crowds with their prams. It really was a confidence booster!”

I know Babywearing is another favourite topic when it comes to the so called “Mommy Wars”, I personally think it is great when done in moderation and also – when done the right way! Always take special note of the safety guidelines of any wrap you buy.

The NooNoo Pie Tie is amazing because…

• It is soft and durable.

• There are no pesky buckles, belts or rings.

• It comes in the most gorgeous colours.

• It spreads weight evenly over your back and shoulders.

• You can breastfeed discreetly while wearing the sling.

• It gives you your hands back! Taking care of siblings, chores and shopping are so much easier when you are wearing your baby in the Noonoo Pie Tie.

  9. I am 35 weeks pregnant and about to have my third baby. The first one had severe colic and I suffered terrible post partum depression. My second was a quiet, sweet child but I wish I had had a noonoopie wrap for both of them. I carried them in a sling which was tough on my back. Will feel extremely blessed to win a noonoopie wrap. I have heard from so many how amazing they are for mom and baby.

  18. My husband and I are trying for our third and last baby. Our first was a fertility assisted baby and our second a suprise but now we are battling again. Because of treatment and doctors bills we will have to go on a very strict budget to have our next and winning this would certainly help with all the expenses that comes with having children. We are not doing well financially but because we don’t want to regret not having another child and because of the problems ttc that is the reason why we are doing this again for the last time. So every little bit of help we will be so very very grateful for.

  19. I saw the Noo Noo Pie Tie ages ago and have fallen in love with it. I think it is the perfect wrap for newborns, and it will certainly be amazing for my son, who is due to arrive next week. I would buy one in a heart beat however with my financial situation I am unable to. Here is holding thumbs for the competition 🙂

  20. My little boy is two weeks old. I bought an Ergo and got some advice about how to use a rolled up blanket in the base instead of buying the newborn insert but it’s really not working – his little head flops all over the place and I have to support so much of him that I may as well just carry him. I would love to try a Noonoo Pie which seems much more suited for newborns.

  22. Hi,

My oldest had to have a surgery on her tummy when she was just born and never took to babywearing since I think she felt uncomfortable. I never had the newborn at hime experience and missed out of skin to skin bonding, breastfeeding and just having those little cuddles. In a way I felt cheated out of this experience.

Then we decided to have baby number 2. Unfortunately that was a journey on it’s own as well and after 2 miscarriages I finally fell pregnant with my rainbow. She will be making her entrance on the 9th of Feb and I am hoping and determined to get the whole experience from skin to skin, breastfeeding, babywearing and semi- cosleeping.

I hope that I would be chosen since I never won something in my entire life, but this is not just a competition, it’s something that will enable me to experience motherhood on a whilr different level

  23. I have a noo noo pie tie in grey and me and my little one just loves it. He loves being snuggled up to mommy listening to my heartbeat and mommy loves the “handsfree” functionality. I would love to win another one in a darker colour like blue or black for when mommy is baby wearing whilst working in the garden. ♡

  24. One of my closest friends and collegues gave birth this morning to the most beautiful little boy. He was a month and a half premature and because of this they have very little for the baby. I think this would make such a wonderful gift for a first time mom as it gives her the opportunity to keep baby close, even when busy.
I really hope i win this for her ❤
